In the class known as MYP Core, we were tasked with doing a service project that we could do that respected COVID regulations. As February was Black History month and March is Women's History Month we decided to do something that combines both of these months, which led to the website. Our plan is to recognize these African American women that have contributed to their community and the world. We Also have an instagram @womenoftheVI which recognises women specifically in our community. Today it is especially hard for women in society so our website and social media page also inspire other young women to achieve their dreams like these women today have.
